90 DAy Challenge Mistakes Made Week 1
Alright this was expected. It turns out that I have made a few mistakes with the Kernel side of things. I'm looking into it at the time of writting, but grub is not updating which I thought it was. At first I was under the assumption that it was switched, but CachyOS Kernal Manager did not enable the Kernel.
Right now what I am doing is re-building the kernel so I'll add to this post as we go.
Alright this is where we go with feel on something. I feel like there might be something wrong with my install. I think a reinstall might be in order. This is great we are on the second day and things aren't going smoothly. Be back in a snap.
Alright I am back and that install felt smooth. Ya know when you have done something so many times that you can feel like something is different. Now let's get back to our baseline of the install I had before. That is one aspect of this challenge that is important. Crap I never set the ground rules.
90 Day Linux Challenge ground rules:
1: I can only do a complete reinstall 1 time per month (Already used that so let's be careful)
2: I must personallize the environment be it Gnome, KDE Plasma, XFCE, etc to my own liking. I cannot stay stock. Ricing is a must even if I have to make the end result myself.
3: Get CachyOS or other opetmized Kernel running stable.
4: Install and use Davinci Resolve Free
5: Replace the stock Terminal
6: Make a video showing how progress is going at least once a week
7: problem solve my way out of issues even if I break the system.
8: Setup backup and restore
9: Get scheduling working
10: Make moydee.com a site that has articles for my videos. (this one is done yay small wins!)
11: Customize OBS with plugins that make streaming a content creation easier.
Alright those rules or goals are easy I guess, but it's a baseline. Now that we have used out first months reset. Let's tread lightly we have 28 days to go and no fallback if we break things hard core.
I updated the commands in the first post because I made a typo, and I have the Kernel building.
